These notes apply to Thunderbird version 88 beta 3 released April 14, 2021.

  • Linux: GTK+ 3.14 or higher
Thunderbird 88.0beta is using a new implementation of the message sending code that is easier to maintain and more flexible.
As with any major change, bugs are bound to happen. The old behavior can be restored by setting the preferences "mailnews.send.jsmodule" and "mailnews.smtp.jsmodule" to false.
